In Haiti, rural women contribute every day to agricultural production, food security, and the economy of their communities. But to expand their activities and strengthen their economic independence, they need resources and support. Through its Sustainable Development program, FOKAL works with community organizations and specifically supports Solidarity Mutual Aid Groups (MUSO), which facilitate collective savings and access to credit.

Through a grant awarded in 2025-2026, the Roy and Patricia Disney Family Foundation supported more than 50 Solidarity Mutual Aid Groups.

How can we continue to support these initiatives and help them grow? Watch this video to learn about the role of MUSOs and see how financial, technical, and partnership-based support can empower rural women and strengthen their activities.
