haiti funders conference

5th Haiti Funders Conference:
Funders, you are invited!

Haiti is now in an unsustainable situation. Change must happen in all sectors. We believe that Philanthropy can play a pivotal role in Haiti’s resurgence with strategic investments now. There ARE solutions and inspiring examples of partners working with communities to outpace poverty, inspire youth and prepare for a better tomorrow.

If you are a philanthropic institution, donor, impact investor or social entrepreneur seeking the best way to support Haitian communities to leverage their assets and pursue paths to prosperity, then, this conference is for you.

In partnership with Haiti Development Institute and Ayiti Demen, FOKAL is pleased to invite you to join us on June 12-14, 2023, in Washington, D.C.

The goal of organizing Haiti Funders Conferences is to increase the amount, effectiveness and impact of philanthropy directed to supporting sustainable economic and social development in Haiti.  This conference is especially timely and critical given the deepening crises and ballooning humanitarian need in the country today. The conference will provide a space for current and potential funders, donors, diaspora organizations and development experts to come together to think strategically about how philanthropy and development assistance can contribute to systemic change. The conference will give donors a chance to consult with peers on challenges they face and ideas for new approaches.  It will provide time and space for participants to network and work together individually outside of structured sessions, which is key to building the community of Haiti funders, so that it is an ongoing resource for its members. Participants can forge and deepen relationships that may form the basis for future coordination and collaboration.
